SIP Trunking for VoIP Telephony PDF Print E-mail

Use VoIP for all telephone calls via SIP Trunking

If you use Skype or MSN Live then you are already a VoIP user. Occasional quality problems and outages are happily tolerated in a free service.

Most businesses WANt their customers to perceive they are a professional organisation. As such, telephone call quality and equipment reliability is essential. Business grade VoIP must be fault free for 99.9% of the time. In addition, business users need to know that any faults will be quickly resolved.

As well as fault free operation, businesses must be able to dial normal PSTN telephone numbers. This requires and interface commonly referred to as a SIP Trunking.

SIP Trunking Service

We offer "Business Grade" internet telephony services by routing your VoIP calls through SIP Trunks that reside on our network. We operate our own network which is connected to the national telecommunications network or PSTN. The hub of our network is based at the UK Internet's London nexus. We route customers calls to through interconnects with the main telecommunications carriers like BT. This is how standard calls can be initiated from a low cost IP network instead of relatively expensive ISDN or multiple analogue telephone lines.

The term SIP Trunk refers to an individual SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) session. Most SIP Trunk charges are based on the number of SIP sessions that can be used simultaneously. This is the same way that traditional telephone lines are charged so if you need five telephone lines that might all be in use at the same time, you could license five SIP sessions instead.

Most SIP vendors charge a rental fee for each session just as BT would charge a monthly rental fee for each line. This is where VoIP Unlimited's service differs from all other services that we know of. We charge one low flat fee for unlimited SIP channels per Broadband or Ethernet connection.

There is a provisos. Lines must be used for outbound as well as inbound calls. Apart from this, customers can set as many SIP trunks (simultaneous telephone call channels) as their connection bandwidth will support.

As a UK ISP, we also offer it's dedicated secure Broadband, Wideband Ethernet circuits, and MPLS networks so we can offer a true one stop shop for your connectivity and SIP Trunking needs.
